Established since 1987
The Hong Kong Guitar Ensemble is found in 1987. It aims to upgrade members' performance skills, their musicianship and promote classic guitar music to the general public.
After our first performance in Aberdeen Civic Centre in 1987, we regularly play in The Hong Kong Cultural Center, The Shatin Town Hall, The Tsuen Wan Town Hall, The Tuen Mun Town Hall, University of Hong Kong, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Radio Television Hong Kong and Television Broadcasts Limited.
There are over twenty members in our ensemble, and our music played ranges widely from serious classic music, folks to popular hit tunes. With such great varieties of genres, we hope to enhance our performance and make guitar music popular to our community.

The Hong Kong Youth Guitar Ensemble is found in Autumn 1996. Members come from different sources, basically are of primary and secondary education. Recently they all have started to get interesting in playing and learning in the guitar ensemble.
